Moving a car from Dubai to another emirate: a checklist

Relocating to Abu Dhabi, selling a car to a buyer in Sharjah, or sending a classic to a specialist in Ras Al Khaimah? Transporting a vehicle on a flatbed saves you the drive, the wear and the fuel. Here’s how to make it smooth.

Before you book

• Confirm the pickup is in Dubai. We collect anywhere in Dubai and deliver to all seven emirates.
• Have the exact addresses for both ends. A location pin is best.
• Know your vehicle details: make, model, whether it runs, and anything unusual (lowered, wide body, modified).
• Pick a time window when someone can hand over and receive the car.

Paperwork to keep handy

• The vehicle registration card (Mulkiya), or a copy of it.
• Contact details for the person receiving the car.
• If you’re not the owner, for example for a dealer or buyer delivery, a note or message from the owner authorising the move.

Preparing the car

1. Remove valuables and loose items from the cabin and boot.
2. Take photos of all four sides, the wheels and the dashboard (showing the mileage).
3. Fold the mirrors and remove or lower any roof accessories if you can.
4. Hand over the keys and tell us about any immobiliser, alarm or special start procedure.
